“Steve is very personable and tailors to my son’s learning style. Our last instructor concentrated mostly on just learning songs, but Steve is teaching about the music theory behind them, which is a key element to learning music!”
Meet the Teacher…
Steve Pasque began his musical journey on the piano at age 9, which laid the foundation for his understanding of music theory, technique, and an unwavering passion for music. By the time he graduated high school, Steve had mastered every instrument in the jazz band’s rhythm section.
After high school, Steve's musical achievements flourished. At Western Michigan University, he balanced his studies with a burgeoning career as a multifaceted musician. He honed his style and versatility by performing with a wide array of artists across numerous genres, with a focus in jazz and blues. His performances spanned a diverse range of venues, from intimate clubs to large banquet halls, showcasing his adaptability and skill.
Today, Steve is an accomplished musician who spends his days teaching lessons in guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, and mandolin, sharing his expertise with aspiring musicians. By night, he is a key member of Hidden Ridge, an acoustic string trio where he shines as both a guitarist and vocalist. Through his all his musical endeavors, Steve has solidified his reputation as a dynamic and versatile teacher and performer across the metro Detroit region.
